Agnor barangay to receive P3M funding support

BUUTAN CITY, Apr. 18 (PIA) - Provincial Governor
Ma. Angelica Rosedell “Angel” M. Amante-Matba ensured that Barangay Del Pilar
of Cabadbaran City in the province of Agusan del Norte will receive the amount
of P3,000,000 as funding support for the construction of its Multi-purpose Hall
cum Evacuation Center.
This is a funding counterpart of the provincial
government for the said project charged to the five percent Provincial Disaster
Risk Reduction and Management Fund (PDRRMF) CY 2014.
The proposed Multi-purpose Hall cum Evacuation
Center of Barangay Del Pilar is envisioned to serve as housing or evacuation
facility during calamities and disasters, which is part of the emergency
mitigating measures to save lives and properties during occurrence of said events.
The project is in line with the disaster risk
reduction management programs of the province to cater to the needs of the
constituents during difficult times.
Gov. Angel was authorized by the Sangguniang
Panlalawigan of Agusan del Norte to sign the Memorandum of Agreement in behalf
of the province with the barangay government of Del Pilar, Cabadbaran City for
the immediate implementation of the said project. (LGU-Agusan del

Cebuano News: Opisyal nanawagan sa pagkondena sa
mga rebeldeng NPA sa padayon nga pagpangdani sa mga kabatan-onan sa SurSur

SURIGAO DEL SUR, Abril 18 (PIA) – Nanawagan ang
opisyal sa kasundalohan sa pagkondenar sa mga rebeldeng NPA sa gihimong padayon
nga pagpangrekrot kon pagdani sa mga kabatan-onan nga moduyog sa ilang mga
kalihukan.
“Atong ikondenar ang mga NPA sa padayon nilang
pagpangrekrot sa mga menor de edad og mga kabatan-onan (Let us condemn the NPA
for the continued recruitment on minors and youth),” kini ang mensahe nga
gipagawas ni Lt. Col Anastacio Suaybagiuo ang batalyon kumander sa 36IB.
Kahibaloan nga niadtong Abril 16, patay ang usa ka
myembro sa mga rebelde nga nailhan nga si Nelven Fernandez Pico, 19 anyos, nga
lumulopyo sa Maitom, Tandag City atol sa engkwentro didto sa Sityo Lamintao,
Barangay Siagao, San Miguel, Surigao del Sur. Samtang samaran usab ang usa ka
myembro sa mga sundalo nga gilayon gidala sa Adela Serra Ty Memorial Medical
Center (ASTMMC) aron matambalan.
Sumala pa sa amahan ni Nelven nga si Dante Pico
kinsa maoy nikuha sa patay’ng lawas sa maong biktima nga ang iyahang anak
gikatahong nawala gikan pa sa tuig 2011.
Subay sa taho, nagpahigayon ug “security
operations” sa maong lugar ang mga elemento sa 36IB aron protektahan ang
padayon nga konstruksyon sa “Farm to Market Road” (FMR) sa lungsod sa San
Miguel.
