DepEd Butuan City Division announces 'Clean Ground
Zero Waste Program' outstanding implementers

BUTUAN CITY, Mar. 8 (PIA) - In response to Butuan
City Mayor Ferdinand M. Amante Jr. flagship program dubbed as “Clean Ground
Zero Waste Management Program,” the Butuan City division has named the
semi-finalists for the 2015 Division Search for Outstanding Clean Ground Zero
Waste Program Best Implementer.
The semi-finalists were Tungao National High
School, Bugabus Elementary School, Tagpulangi Elementary School, Butuan City
Comprehensive High School, Amparo Central Elementary School, Bit-os Elementary
School, Dalingdingan Elementary School, Libertad Central Elementary School,
Libertad National High School, Lumbocan National High School, Agusan PequeΓ±o
National High School and Butuan City School of Arts and Trade, Taligaman
Elementary School, Taligaman National High School, Los Angeles Elementary
School, Sumilihon Central Elementary School, Riverside Central Elementary
School, West Central Elementary School, La Solidad National High School, San
Roque Elementary School, Bilay Elementary School and Agusan National High
School.
Best three implementers per category will be
selected based on entry documents (40%) and ocular visit (60%) a total of 100
percent, which will run from March 2 to March 10, 2015. Furthermore, the highest pointers in both
elementary and secondary levels will then be recommended for regional level
search with cash incentives involve.
Before the semi-finalists were announced through
the Division Memorandum No. 40, s. 2015 dated February 26, 2015, a number of
schools have already submitted their entry documents to the division office
based on the following criteria: classroom/office trashcans with label and with
segregated wastes (30%); garbage bins near canteen, gate, playground with
segregated waste (30%); compost pit and compost file with segregated wastes
(20%); and stock room/area for recyclable materials (20%), a total of 100
percent.
The objectives of this activity are to give due
recognition to schools who have fully supported the above mentioned program,
encourage the schools to maintain/sustain their school cleanliness all
throughout the year and achieve the schools and division target for the Clean
Ground Zero Waste Program.
The division team evaluators are composed of
Jeanie L. Mativo, assistant schools division superintendent as the chairman,
Dr. Ana P. Lasco as the co-chairman, Reynaldo B. Encarguez and Dr. Bebelyn C.
Corvera.
Winners will be announced during the next Division
