KBP Butuan City-Agusan del Norte Chapter joins nationwide tree planting activity

BUTUAN CITY, Oct. 13 (PIA) – Members of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) Butuan City-Agusan del Norte Chapter participated early this morning in the nationwide tree planting activity at the Mt. Mayapay, Barangay Bonbon here.

Chapter President Israel Palero said during this morning's short program that the tree planting activity in Mt. Mayapay, Brgy. Bonbon is in support to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ National Greening Program (NGP).

“Today’s activity dubbed as “Oplan Broadcastreeing,” is in line with the KBP’s partnership with the DENR to unite its members and mobilize them for the nationwide tree-planting,” relayed Palero.

Other partners also extended their support to the KBP’s activity namely: Department of the Interior and Local Government, Philippine National Police, and local government unit of Butuan.

Meanwhile, the members of said chapter also signed at the ‘Pledge of Commitment’ tarp as sign of their willingness and eagerness to help protect the environment and to plant more trees.

Butuan City-Agusan del Norte Chapter is one of the 39 chapters of the KBP nationwide that planted thousands of seedlings simultaneously in support of the DENR’s NGP. (JPG/PIA-Caraga)


RAFI, FAPC conduct synergy program

CEBU CITY, Oct. 13 (PIA) -- Fast Auto World Philippines Corporation (FAPC) Mandaue Branch employees went through a Team Synergy Integration Program held recently at the Sacred Heart Ateneo de Cebu organized by Kool Adventure Camp (KAC) Professional Development Programs of Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI)

The program aims to promote and share best practices among FAPC employees and to inspire commitment in applying learning from the activities.

The participants underwent activities that promote importance of developing teamwork, improving communication, and creating effective strategies in achieving organizational objectives.

Through this program, participants reinforced their problem solving skills and ability to learn from mistakes. The mindset of playing to win was also highlighted.

Playing to win gives the idea of reaching a goal without defeating someone. It is seeing change as challenge where people learn, grow and continuously improve.

FAPC, the leading authorized dealer of Mitsubishi Motors Cars, has been in partnership with KAC since 2011 for its organizational development initiatives in the Visayas and Mindanao region.

KAC is one of the programs under RAFI’s Leadership & Citizenship focus area, where future leaders are nurtured to prepare them to take an active role in affecting change. RAFI’s other focus areas are Integrated Development, Micro-finance & Entrepreneurship, Culture & Heritage, and Education.

RAFI-KAC has been offering adventure education programs for leadership and team development for youth and professionals for the last decade.
