Butuan launches City Hall press corps

BUTUAN CITY, Feb. 27 (PIA) – The city government here formally organized on Friday a local tri-media dubbed as “City Hall Press Corps” that will serve as channels of information as Mayor Ferdinand M. Amante Jr. envisions for transparent governance, thus bringing the information closer to the public.

After the formal launching, election of officers followed facilitated by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Caraga Regional Office.

Elected officers are as follows: President – Mr. Junjie Esconia of dxMK Magic FM; Vice President for Print – Noel B. Najarro of Butuan Star; Vice President for Radio – Jerry Campos of dxBC RMN Butuan; Secretary – Litz T. Flaviano of the Northern Mindanao Chronicle; Treasurer – Rey Brangan of dxBR Bombo Radyo Butuan and; Auditor- Junie Datwin, People’s Guardian.

The launching of the press corps is part of the activities of the city government in commemoration with the 25th celebration of EDSA People Power Revolution. (PIA-Caraga)
