DICT Caraga kicks-off Nat’l ICT Month
Butuan City – The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Caraga kicked-off the National ICT Month on June 2, with a festive motorcade and a series of ICT-focused training programs and information sessions across the region.
With the theme, “Walang Iwanan sa Digital Bayanihan,” this year’s celebration underscores the government’s commitment to inclusive digital transformation—ensuring that no Filipino is left behind in the ongoing push for digitalization, connectivity, cybersecurity, and digital job creation.
In line with the nationwide advocacy, DICT Caraga launched several key activities aimed at building digital capacity and fostering innovation within communities. Among the kick-off activities were:
- Mobile Application Development Training in partnership with St. Francis Xavier College
- Web Content Management Using WordPress led by the ICT Literacy and Competency Development Bureau (ILCDB) Region 13,
- Introduction to UI/UX Design and App Development for Startups conducted virtually via Zoom by DICT Surigao del Sur and the ICT Industry Development Bureau 13
These initiatives highlighted DICT Caraga’s commitment to capacitating communities through accessible and practical digital skills training.
