BCWD now 40 years of service, continues to hold
community activities

BUTUAN CITY, Mar. 29 (PIA) – On its 40th
anniversary celebration, the Butuan City Water District (BCWD) has lined-up
several activities for its concessionaires from March 22 to April 5, 2014.
To jumpstart the celebration, a motorcade will
be conducted on Tuesday, April 1, 8:00 a.m. and assembly area will be at the
Libertad Sports Complex, this city.
Also, a bloodletting activity will be conducted
on the same day at the BCWD Training Hall, in coordination with the Philippine
National Red Cross (PRC). It will start from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
“Those concessionaires who are interested to
donate their blood for a cause can go to the training hall and we will be glad
to accommodate them. The first 40 donors will receive t-shirts,” said Anselmo
Sang Tian, BCWD General Manager.
Sang Tian added that aside from the
bloodletting, BCWD will also be rewarding its 40th anniversary t-shirt for the
first 40 concessionaires who will pay their water bill on April 1.
Also, last activity scheduled for the
anniversary as a way of sharing its blessings to the community is the
distribution of grocery items to paying concessionaires on April 2 and 4, 2014
or until supplies last.
This year’s celebration is anchored on the theme
“BCWD: 40 Years of Addressing the Challenges in Providing Potable and Safe
